"Dedicated to providing and developing the best officials for the game of Lacrosse."

Dear prospective lacrosse official,

Thank you for your consideration to participate in “the fastest sport on two feet”. Boys lacrosse is a game of speed and skill, and the SDCLOA requires its officials to have the physical capability and mental aptitude to keep up with the game's demands. Our organization has an intensive training regimen and new officials will be subject to a 2-year probationary period. Upon completion of the probationary period, each official will be evaluated and deemed certified if that individual has proven to grasp the rules, concepts, and physical demands of the game.

Our training module consists of eight classroom sessions and two on-field ascrimmages that address the rules and game mechanics. We prepare our officials, experienced and non certified to handle game management smoothly.  Our goal is to have the players and schools to compete on a level playing field with good sportsmanship and safety as our main objectives. We take these goals very seriously and strive for excellence each time we are on the fields.

Experience as a lacrosse player, coach, or prior officiating is preferable, but not required.

Annual dues are $65 and the 2012 training dates have been posted.  Please folllow this link 2012 meeting dates to view the training dates, register for the 2012 season, and pay your dues online. You must submit your 'Agreement to Provide Services'  form first, then you will automatically be directed to a pay pal screen.

Thanks,
The San Diego County Lacrosse Officials Organization (SDCLOA)

Gentleman,

For your pleasure and information we have posted the 2012 NFHS High School Lacrosse Rules Exam, and Answer Sheet on the website training page.  As with last year’s exam, you are required to cite the Rule Book Reference (i.e 1-2-1, 4-22-2a) along with the answer.

You may begin turning them in at the next meeting, February 7th.  They are due at the next to last meeting, on February 15th, so that we can grade them and get them back to you in a timely manner.  We will review the answers at the last meeting on February 21st.
